Our Essentials plan covers routine check-ups, hygiene appointments, and X-rays, giving you peace of mind that you’re receiving the necessary preventative care.
Plus, as a plan member you will receive discounts on recommended treatments, further reducing the cost of dental care. With our Essentials plan, you’ll get basic dental cover that’s both affordable and effective

- Your mandatory supplementary insurance will cover:
- Temporary emergency dental treatment in the UK**
- Temporary emergency dental treatment when abroad***
- Up to £12,000 towards one course of oral cancer treatment for up to 18 months after diagnosis
- Up to £62 for each night you spend in hospital under the exclusive care of a maxillofacial or dental surgeon for head or neck treatment
- £10,000 per injury**up to £400 per incident***up to £450 per incident
Denplan insurance services also provide a 24-hour worldwide emergency dental helpline and assistance with any questions you have about your supplementary insurance.

Excellent service from the dentist (Joanna). A professional job done on a very tight timescale.
I was pleased with my visit and felt that the new dentist took time to get to know me (as it was my first visit since Helen’s retirement). What I would like to note is that the costs of treatments at the practice have reached ridiculous heights, to the point where I am considering leaving the practice (having been there for 30 years and being the third generation of my family to use this dentist). £430 for two fillings is absolutely absurd, private practice or not, especially when we pay £20 a month for DenPlan.
Just returned home after receiving a 50 minute treatment from Richard. The whole experience was brilliant. Thank you to all at the practice and for looking after my wife while waiting for me.
As usual 5 star service from the receptionists, Pauline the hygenist and of course Sarah the dentist. Very friendly and complete professionals in carrying out their duties.
An extremely nervous, patient,I was not at my best but everyone at the practice was pleasant and reassuring with me. I do not dread my next visit quite so much!!
I’ve always struggled with confidence at the dentist due to years of negative experiences, but Ormskirk Cottage Dentist completely changed that. Huge thank you to Michael Cole — I’ve never felt so comfortable or relaxed in the chair. Professional, calming, and genuinely one of the best experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend to anyone with dental anxiety!
