Partner
Richard qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2008 and joined the practice as an associate in 2010, becoming a partner in 2023.
Throughout his career, Richard has remained committed to continually advancing his skills and clinical knowledge through ongoing postgraduate training.
He has a particular interest in restorative dentistry and orthodontics, focusing on delivering high-quality, long-lasting results for his patients.
Outside the practice, Richard enjoys spending time with his young family and their dog, and he is a keen supporter of Liverpool Football Club.

Partner
Sarah qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2012 . She is committed to continuing professional development and regularly enhances her skills to ensure patients receive high-quality, modern dental care
Sarah holds s a postgraduate certificate in orthodontic treatment and in clinical education. She has previously been involved in mentoring and training newly qualified dentists, supporting the development of the next generation of clinicians.
Alongside her work in dentistry, Sarah has a particular interest in facial aesthetics, she first trained in this field with the renowned Dr Hennessey in 2013, and has since completed extensive advanced training. Sarah now provides a range of aesthetic treatments and skincare.
Outside of the practice, Sarah enjoys spending time with her young family and dog. She also loves cooking and Pilates.

DR Joanna syal
Associate
Joanna qualified from the University of Liverpool in 1992, and combined working in general practice in South Liverpool with raising her family, before joining Cottage Dental in 2018.
Joanna enjoys encouraging patients to maintain and improve their oral health and enjoys helping anxious patients. She has completed postgraduate training courses in endodontics and restorative dentistry.
With family spread throughout the UK, from Glasgow to London, she enjoys weekends away visiting them. When at home she enjoys cooking, gardening and listening to podcasts.

Associate
Michael qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2012 and joined the practice as an associate in 2021.
Throughout his career, Michael has continually expanded his skills and clinical knowledge through ongoing postgraduate training. He is currently studying towards an MSC in Endodontics, and enjoys restoring challenging and heavily broken down teeth.
Outside of Dentistry, Michael enjoys spending time with his young family, playing football and watching a good TV show.

Rebecca graduated from Manchester Dental School in 2016 and joined Cottage Dental Practice in 2025.
Rebecca enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is committed to continually improving her skills by attending regular courses and professional training.
Rebecca particularly enjoys restoring teeth with composite, treating children and helping anxious patients to feel relaxed and comfortable during their visits.
Outside of dentistry, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her young family, knitting and crafting.
